Basics of Website Design

Designer always try to go through basics of designing when he starting to design something. Either it’s a print designing or web designing, he have to know the dos and do not’s. The following rules helps out a designer for come out with best web design lay out.

1. Try to create a design that seems friendly.
People are not attracted to lots of web designs because they are not user friendly. If you want a user to come back at your website, make it comforting and light. Make your site as friendly as possible so it looks a custom web site.

2. Create a great homepage.
When designing your website, keep in mind that make home page conceptualize so it attracts your viewers. So make your page as attractive as possible so it takes your visitor’s attention and then draw them deeper into your site.

3. Keep in mind the principles of web site designing.
Try to apply basic designing principles like as balance, contrast, emphasis, rhythm and unity. Also try flash designing. This will helps you to serve as guide and conceptualize a good web design.

4. Think something in terms of graphics.
Some pages are very slow in open and it looks annoying. Graphics of page is the main which makes page slow during opening. Try to avoid these problems.

5. Use only that graphics which fit the content.
Never put images just because you like that image. Always put the image which are appropriate to content and that connect with your site’s content.

6. Do not use blinking images.
It’s proved by study that blinking images are annoying people actually. But you want to use it than use it sparingly though it’s a part of multimedia design. I think you never like that just because of blinking images your users leave your site.

7. Always stay with standard layouts.
Use a layout which is as simple as possible. It’s true and keeps in mind those readers and site viewers are stick with things which are simple and easy to understand.

8. Use standard fonts and limit the number of different fonts.
Use fonts which are standard like as Arial, Verdana, Geneva, and Helvetica. They look better on every browser.
